Papa is a little device designed to control your Zimpure and count the working hours of your Zimpure to help you to monitor the states of your filters. It's very simple to use, just plug it between Zimpure and the power supply to add functions to your Zimpure.
The functions provided by Papa are the following:
Zimpure Control/Automation: Papa can control your Zimpure to make it fully autonomous. Just link Papa to your motherboard in parallel with the extruder cooling fan, and your Zimpure will automatically turn ON and OFF only when your printer is running! You will never touch your Zimpure again after plugging this little Papa. (except for changing filters of course)
Counting the working hours of your Zimpure (The RGB LED on the front is showing you the hour range in which you are). Papa informs you of 5 different range: 0-100 hours, 100-200, 200-300, 300-400, 400-500, more than 500 hours. This function is working even if you don't link it to your printer to add the Control function. The reset procedure is very simple (described in the user manual provided with you Papa)
The 500 hours we are announcing are made for ABS printing, with a 0.4 mm nozzle, with a 0.2mm layer height. If you are using a 1mm nozzle, and print ABS at 0.8mm layer height, your filters will last much less longer of course…
We are going to conduct more tests on these settings to give your more concrete examples with different settings. For the moment, just use a proportionality rule.
When your Zimpure is running, Papa is “breathing”: The led on the front will make a discrete visual animation, looking like a breath. If Zimpure isn’t working, the LED is ON without any animation
Papa is compatible with all 3D printers: 12V and 24V.
There is a temporization between when the extruder fan is starting to blow (when it reaches 50°C), and when Zimpure turns ON. This way, we are sure that your printer is printing and not heating when we turn Zimpure ON.
If you're ready to add some electronic function to your Zimpure, this is the product you need!
